The RYSA Academy Program operates as a member of Georgia Youth Soccer Association’s developmental soccer program for U10-U12 boys and girls.  The idea behind Academy is to give young players advanced coaching and a higher level of competition, alongside other players and parents who want to see their child develop his/her potential in a fun soccer environment.  Academy philosophy is playing to learn while minimizing the pressure of playing to win. 

The Academy program is an intermediate step to full sided select soccer which starts at the U13 year. All RYSA Academy coaches are licensed and experienced in preparing players of this age for the next step of select soccer.   Training activities are devised to help each player improve technically (skills), tactically (as a member of a team), physically (coordination & fitness) and psychologically (mental development).  The Academy focuses on the complete development of each player, and education of the parent on the philosophies of developmental soccer. 

The Junior Development Academy was designed to identify and allow future Academy players to be placed in an environment where they are exposed to the Academy format at an earlier age. We want to find those players who love the game, are excelling at an early age, and fast-track these players into the Academy environment. The Academy Program focuses on developing the basic techniques and skills needed in the game of soccer. The majority of time is spent with one player and one ball, allowing maximum touches and time on the soccer ball. It is an environment that is centered around player development, and focuses on getting each player comfortable and confident with the soccer ball; in all facets of the game.
