RYSA Select Coaching Staff

Mandy Schneider
Prior to joining the Georgia State coaching staff , Schneider served as an assistant at JacksonvilleUniversity. In 2006, Schneider coached several club teams at the Tophat Soccer Club in Atlanta and assisted in summer camps at EmoryUniversity and AuburnUniversity.  Schneider also worked locally, in Jacksonville, with the Westside Soccer Club as the Director of Girls’ Select.
A four-year letterwinner at
GeorgiaState from 2002-05 as a center midfielder, Schneider started 44 of 78 games while leading the squad to consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament appearances in 2002 and 2003. As a senior team captain, she enjoyed her best season by leading the team with a six assists while also tallying three goals. 

 



 

Casey Black
Grew up playing at RYSA from the u9-18 ranks. Went on to play at Anderson University, where he was a Goalkeeper.

Coached at Heritage High School for 15 years, where he won 4 State Championships, and had 6 State Final Appearances. He currently coaches the u11 Girls in the Academy Program.

Holds a USSF National "D" license, as well as, high National College Referee License.


 Hayley Ferell

Played at Eagles Landing High School, then going on to play at Georgia College and State University. At GCSU, she was able to collect Al Peach Belt Conference Honors, Region Team Honors for 2 years, and on the Conference Honor Roll for 4 years. She holds the school record at GCSU for goals and points.

First year of coaching at RYSA, where she has had an instant success with the u10 Girls Academy team, winning two tournament championships.

Will obtain her USSF National "C" License this summer.


 

Annie Galloway

Played at the University of South Carolina for four years. Went on after graduation to coach at Carolina FC in Spartanburg, South Carolina for two years, where she coached the ’98 Girls Academy team, and the the 99 Developmental team.

Began with RYSA in the Spring of 2010, where she has assisted the u11 Boys and u12 Girls Academy teams, helping the girls to two tournament championships.


 

Rob Boggus

RYSA member since the first day club was formed.

Played varsity soccer three years at Heritage High School (78-80).

Played varsity soccer four years at Oglethorpe University (81- 84).

Selected to the NAIA Honorable Mention Team (82 and 83).

Selected to the NCAA Division 3 All South Team (83).

USSF National “D” License. 

30 plus years coaching experience.

 


 

Dusty Fouser -

 

Played club soccer at RYSA, as well as, Stone Mountain, GFC and AFC Lightning. Went on to play at the University of West Florida, where he as apart of the 2006 National Final Four run. Also an intrigal part of an 18 straight win streak, and a #3 Final National Ranking. Went on to play PDL for the Panama City in 2008.
Has worked with RYSA coaching the u19 Boys, currently working with the u15 an u 13 Boys, and holds a USSF National "D" License.

 

 


Rodney Barnes

Rodney Barnes has one of the longest histories with RYSA.  He began playing youth soccer in 1972, the first season that RYSA began.  Rodney continued to play youth soccer with RYSA and South Dekalb-Y.  He later played with  the  U-18 Datagraphic team to win the State Championship. 

 

Rodney played high school ball for Rockdale County High School.  He won the Benji Gross award as a Senior in 1983.  He also played College soccer at West Georgia College for their club team, where he graduated with a BBA in Marketing. 

 

Rodney began coaching at RYSA in 2001 when his children began to play rec. soccer.  He has coached U-6, 8, 10, 12 Rec, and with the RYSA Academy Program.

 

 


 

Keion Yearwood

Playing history:    
-Played on the national youth teams from Trinidad and Tobago
-3 year starter at the College of Charleston from 2002-05, where he was the team Captain and garnered All-South Region team honors his Senior Year
-a RYSA staff coach since the Fall of 2008, working primarily with the u9/10 Boys. Has captured tournament championships at the Peachtree Classic, Concorde and Atlanta Fire, GSA Invitational, and GISA Jekyll Island tournaments.
 

 


 

Harry Kustick

Playing History: Harry played for Briarcliff High School, where he was apart of the 1972 State Championship team. He then went on to play with Georgia State University, and then with handful of ADASL teams.

 

Coaching History- Harry has been with RYSA for a number of years, after a successful tenure of High School coaching. Harry worked with Rockdale High School, and Eagles Landing High school, where he was able to guide them to numerous years of success. Harry has garnered Coach of the Year honors, Region honors, and State honors. He was named the 2009-10 Select Coach of the year at RYSA for his contributions to the u15 RYSA Sporting FC Girls, where he helped them gain promotion to Athena "C.

Kurt Peters

Kurt will join RYSA in the Fall of 2010. He currently coaches the Salem High School Men’s team, where he has manned the post since 2008. Prior to being the Head Coach, he was the Assistant at Salem from 2006-08.

Kurt played at Young Harris College, where he received 2nd Team All Region honors in 2000 and 2001. He also garnered the 2001 Coaches Award while at Young Harris.

Courtney Morgan

Courtney will also be joining RYSA in the Fall of 2010. Comes to RYSA after playing two years at Truett McConnell College, and 2 years at Emmanuel College. While at Emmanuel, Morgan also helped assist with the Mens and Womens Programs for a year.

She is currently the Assistant Coach at Heritage High School with the JV and Varsity teams.

Morgan Cobb

Morgan Cobb will be joining RYSA in the Fall of 2010 after a 4 year playing career at Georgia College and State University. After growing up in Columbus, GA and playing with Columbus Red Star, Cobb enjoyed a prep career at Calvary Christian School and Columbus High School. Morgan is the all time leader in appearances at GCSU, and graduated in the Spring of 2010 with a degree in Physical Education/Health.
