Conyers native and RYSA Alum, Clint Mathis, won the MLS Cup on Sunday. Clint and Real Salt Lake defeated David Beckham, Landon Donovan, and the LA Galaxy on penalties. Clint played an integral role in the victory. Real Salt Lake head coach, Jason Kreis said, "Clint Mathis played fantastically for us and was a big part of winning this game."

After 90 minutes and extra time, the game was deadlocked at 1-1. Mathis stepped up and buried the first penalty for his team, who went on to win the shootout 5-4.
