Salem HS soccer standouts and twin sisters, Alayna & Mariel Smith, are taking their talents to Montgomery, Alabama as they sign national letters of intent to play for Alabama State. The girls also play for the RYSA 94 Lady Revolution, coached by Kurt Peters, where their team made the finals at the Atlanta Cup & Triumph Cup. Alabama State Head Coach, Jodie Smith, said, "The great thing about Alayna and Mariel is that they are very versatile. Most of the players we have now are locked in at their respective position, so you just can't place them anywhere. Being versatile is very vital for us right now. The ladies have a great additude and have seen us play so they know where we've been and where we're headed at this point, and I think they can be infectious to the rest of the program."
