The RYSA Revolution U12 Girls Blue finished as finalists in their first tournament of the season, the Junior Norcross Nike Cup held August 11-12. The Lady Revs dominated pool play outscoring their opponents by a combined 18-0 over three games. “The girls had an incredible run in this tournament,” Head Coach Michelle Bird said. “To shut out every team in pool play as we did and to net as many goals as we did shows this was a true team effort by all of our players.” RYSA shut out the Norcross Fury Premier in pool play, but the Fury edged RYSA out in the championship game 2-1. “They are the #4 team in the state,” Bird said. “We held them scoreless in pool play and put up some goals against them. Our girls showed they, too, are one of the top teams in the state.”
