The Georgia Revolution is pleased to announce it's acceptance into the Super Y League. Founded in 1999, the Super Y-League is dedicated to the progression of future professional players. The Super Y-League has steered the course for development of elite clubs, players, and coaches. Affiliated with US Soccer, the Super Y-League ODP Program has opened countless doors for players to be identified for U.S. National Team Programs. The Super Y-League contains the youth academies of Major League Soccer clubs, USL PRO clubs, Premier Development League and W-League clubs. The RYSA Junior Academy Program is geared towards boys and girls in the U9-U12 age groups. The goal of the Jr Academy Program is to create a more focused environment where young players can prepare themselves for a higher level of soccer as their development is facilitated by the licensed and professional coaching staff of RYSA’s academy and select programs. RYSA Revolution alums, Mady Carter and Ray Brown signed letters of intent with NCAA Division I schools on Wednesday. Mady signed with Kennesaw State and Ray signed with the Citadel. Ray started playing soccer at RYSA when she was 4 years old and Mady started playing soccer at RYSA when she was 9. Mady and Ray played for RYSA's FC95/96 Lady Blue team since U12 and were coached by Harry Kustick. Congratulations on your accomplishments! We applaud your hard work and dedication! Way to go ladies!!!

The U9 boys RYSA Revolution blue team had a successful tune up to the regular season as they finished as finalist in the RYSA Spring Kickoff Classic. They went undefeated as they registered wins against DDYSC and TSC. Congratulations to the boys!

RYSA Lady Revolution Blue U10 Girls took home the gold this weekend in the RYSA Spring Kickoff classic with three wins and three shut outs! Good work girls!

The U12 blue girls started their weekend off with one win and one loss on the first day of the RYSA Spring Kick Off Classic.  Sunday morning found them in a three way tie in their division.  A PK shoot out was held to determine placement for games on Sunday.  They won the shoot out and went on to win game 3 over Griffin Excel 1-0 to make the final game.  The final game brought a rematch against GSA from day one.  The girls won this go round 2-0 to take home the championship!  So very proud of these girls and all their hard work this weekend!!

The U11 girls blue team had a great weekend at the RYSA Spring Kick Off Classic.  They were the only team in their bracket to have no goals scored against them all weekend until the final game in a shoot out!  They began their tournament weekend with a win over DDY and a tie against Tophat.  Game three was a “have to win to go” situation and the girls secured their spot in the finals with a 1-0 win over Inter-Atlanta.  The final was lost in a shoot out 4-3 against TSC.  Both the coach and all the parents are extremely proud of how hard these girls played this weekend!

Atlanta, Ga. (January 24, 2014) – The Atlanta Silverbacks have signed forward Kwadwo Poku from the Georgia Revolution, the club announced Friday.

“It feels really good to be joining the Silverbacks. Since I arrived in the United States, it has been a goal of mine to play at the professional level,” Poku said. “I’m excited to play for someone like Eric Wynalda because he has played at the highest level as an attacking player. I think I will be able to learn a lot from him.”

Poku, 21, joins the Silverbacks after spending three seasons with local National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) side Georgia Revolution. The 6-foot-2 forward started playing with the Conyers-based club in 2011 after coming to the United States from Ghana in late 2010.

One of Conyers’ own is turning pro.

Michael Nwiloh was drafted in the fourth round (59th overall) by Chivas USA in Tuesday’s Major League Soccer SuperDraft.

Nwiloh, who was a three-year member of the Georgia Revolution, is the first men’s player from Georgia State University to be an MLS draft pick.

“Michael has a great work rate paired with a passion for soccer and I know that will serve him well at the next level,” said RYSA director of coaching Rafe Mauran. “He has a great combination of size and athleticism. He is an exciting player to watch and I can’t wait to see him on the field for Chivas USA.”
