Rockdale Youth Soccer Association began the August Friendlies in 2005 as an alternative for Academy teams to prepare for upcoming tournaments and/or the fall season.  In 2006 the Friendlies were expanded to include U13 Select teams as a way to gain additional 11v11 game exposure as they transition out of Academy and into their first select year.  The Friendlies have more than doubled in size, growing from 20 teams in 2005 to 50 teams in 2006. In 2007 we had about 60 teams. It it a good place to tune-up for the fall season, a great practice weekend before an upcoming tournament, or an ideal assessment opportunity for coaches to form Academy pools into teams. 

2008 Friendlies will be on August 16th & 17th, 2008 and will be open to U10-U12 Academy teams. 

No scores or standings are kept, and all teams are guaranteed at least 3 games. 

All games will be played at the main RYSA Soccerplex on Old Salem Road in Conyers.
